The 100-note cylinder music box is composed of two 50-note music boxes side by side which is very difficult to arrange.
Because of the difficulty of aligning the timing, there is a difficulty in arranging an arrangement even if the notes are arranged in rhythm with the score.
The cylinder music box has an unused pin as a marker to indicate the starting point of the rotation, but in the case of the 100-note music box, it is also difficult to interlock this pin.
It is technically less difficult to produce a 100-note drum with a single 100-note drum, rather than a double 50-note drum, as there is no need to interlock the 100-note drum.
However, from a cost-effective point of view, it has not been possible to realise this because the returns on the production of a new manufacturing machine are not expected to be sufficient.

The 144-valve music box once produced by Swiss Leuge may one day be sold by Nidec.
